June 11th 2013 Clover delivered a beautiful litter of thirteen pups. Over the next few weeks I will post photos as we follow the pups from their birthdate to when they are 8 weeks old and ready to join their new owners

Look at all the changes

It's been 7 days since I uploaded puppy photos and look at all the changes.  It always amazes me how fast they develop.  The eyes started opening towards the end of the weekend, still a couple not fully there yet, but, for the most part they are open.  They are starting to respond to sound, though neither sight or hearing is too developed at this stage.  Legs are being tried out, some more successfully then others.
This afternoon I will introduce to them their first supplemental meal of goats milk.  Not sure how much success we will have at getting the liquid inside them, something tells me they will be wearing most of it.  Wish us luck and enjoy the photos until later.  If the weather is good this weekend I may sit them out in the warm sun for a little bit and try for some nice photos.  Have a great weekend everyone!

After almost 20 years of using our own nursery boxes I caved in and purchased the DuraWhelp by Breeder Base.  I have to admit I love it, light weight, roomy and a breeze to keep clean.  I also love that when I am finished with it the whole thing breaks back down and I can flat pack it into the shipping box and store under the bed.
